Mrs. Eleaise D. Neals age 93 of Barnwell, SC was born on March 13, 1923 to the late John Drummond, and the late Dianna Gifford Drummond.   

At an early age she joined and was baptized at the St. Mary Baptist Church in Martin, SC where she served as Past President of the Senior Choir, and Usher.  She was a faithful member of the Pride of Barnwell OES #77, where she served as Chaplin for many years before her health began to fail.

She received her education at the St. Mary School in Martin, SC.

She was married to the late Lindsey Neal, Sr. for 42 years before the Lord called him home.

Besides her husband, parents, and grandparents, two children, Lindsey Neal, Jr, and Bertha Ruth Neal, three brothers, James, Jimmy, and John Henry Drummond, and four sisters, Desarlene Neal, Carrie Parker, Willie Maude O'Neal, and Shirley Weaver preceded her in death.

Our Heavenly Father called her from labor to reward on Saturday, October 08, 2016 at the Laura Baye Healthcare Center in Blackville, SC.

She leaves to cherish her memory, five sons, James L. (Purley) Neals of Midwest City, OK, David (Wanda) Neal, Sr. of Opa-Locka, FL, Pastor McKinley (Rev. Gwendolyn) Neal, Charlie W. Neal, and Fred O. (Janice) Neal of Barnwell, SC; two daughters, Anna Y. (Sillivor) O’Berry of Greenville, SC and Ethel N. Robinson (Shawn Wheeler) of Aiken, SC; twenty-seven grandchildren; thirty-nine great grandchildren; two great-great grands; six step grandchildren; one sister, Ernestine D. Crawford of Miami Garden, FL; one god-brother, Pierce “Pete” A. Gibson of Barnwell, SC; two sisters in law, Alma G. Drummond of Hallandale, FL and Dorothy W. Neal of Beech Island, SC; one brother in law, Moses Crawford, Sr. of Miami Garden, FL, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and sympathizing friends.

The Funeral Service was 11:00 AM Saturday, October 15, 2016, at the St. Mary Baptist Church in Martin, SC, with words of comfort by Pastor McKinley Neal. Burial followed in the Church Cemetery.
