Mrs. Bernice Youmans, age 83, of Allendale, SC, was born on May 29, 1930 to the late Dave Flowers, Sr., and the late Christianna Maggie Brown Flowers. Our Heavenly Father saw fit to call her from labor to reward on May 1, 2014 at her home in Allendale, SC.
At an early age, she joined and was baptized at the Sweet Bethel CME Church, and served faithfully until her health began to fail.
She was married to the late Benjamin Youmans, Sr. and from this union they were blessed with four children.
One daughter: Daisy Mae Preacher; one son: Sinclair Flowers; two sisters: Willie Lee Bostick and Louise Scott; and one brother: Willie Flowers precede her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memories, one daughter: Loubert (Mack, Jr.) Coath of Allendale, SC; two sons: Willie D. (Edna) Youmans of Allendale, SC, and Benjamin Youmans, Jr. of Columbia, SC; two sisters: Minnie Flowers, and Ida Mae Riddle all of Allendale, SC; one brother: Ernest Flowers of Allendale, SC; two sisters in law: Rosemary Badger of Allendale, SC and Lila (James) Brown; five grandchildren; twelve great- grandchildren; one great great-grand, friend of the family: Lawanda Jones and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and sympathizing friends.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM, Monday, May 5, 2014, at the Sweet Bethel CME Church in Allendale, SC with Pastor Henry Moultrie, Officiating. Burial will be in the Hoover Cemetery in Ulmer, SC.
