Mr. Willie Thomas, “Mudd”, age 79 of Sycamore, SC, was born on September 29, 1934 to the late Gus Thomas and the late Emma Ruth Bradley. Our Heavenly Father saw fit to call him from labor to reward on September 7, 2014 at the MUSC Hospital in Charleston, SC.
At an early age, he joined and was baptized at the Miller Swamp Baptist Church in Sycamore, SC.
He attended the public school system of Allendale, SC, and later moved to Brooklyn, NY where he worked as a General Contractor. Later he moved back to Sycamore, SC where lived until the Lord called him home. In his spare time he loved to fish and meet friends at Hardees.
He was married to the late Marie Thomas.
One son, and one daughter precede him in death.
He leaves to cherish his memories, two sons, Jimmy Thomas of Beaufort, SC, and Marvin M. (Barry Ann) Thomas of Fairfax, SC; four daughters, Carla Davis, and Sharon Outing of Allendale, SC, Laverne (Ernest) Weston, and Athenia (Eric) Gray of Jacksonville, FL; one adopted son, Mark (Teresa) Thomas of Sycamore, SC; one son in law, Radrick Outing of Allendale, SC; one brother in law, Ulysses Smoaks of Allendale, SC; three sisters in law, Thelma (Norman) Devoe, Bobbie Lee Smoaks, and Clara Nell Best all of Allendale, SC; three aunts, Eva Mae Williams, and Alice Bing of Sycamore, SC, and Emma Lee Warren of Aiken, SC; twenty grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; nine loving cousins, Barbara Ann, Brandy, Jackie, Mickie, Mary, Evelyn, Mattie Mae, Rosa Lee, and Dorothy Williams; three special friends, Junior Priester, Shorty Fitts, and Mr. Merwin, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and sympathizing friends.
