Luberta Eady Brown, aka “Bert”, age 81 of Allendale, SC, was born on July 25, 1933 to the late Willie and Elouise Priester Eady. Our Heavenly Father call her from labor to reward on December 4, 2014 at 150 Paso Corto Drive in Kearneysville, WV.
At an early age, she joined and was baptized at the Simpson United Methodist Church in Allendale, SC.
She attended the Allendale Training School in Allendale, SC.
She worked at Ernie’s Restaurant and Holiday Inn as a cook for many years.
She was married to the late Ben Brown, Sr. for over 40 years.
She is preceded in death by two sisters, Reatha Mae Ginn, and Flossie Mae Eady Devoe, two brothers, Willie Lee Eady, and Joe Louise Eady, and one grandson, Antonio Denile Williams.
She leaves to cherish her memories, two daughters, Annette Smoaks, and Earline (Carl) Kearse of Allendale, SC; four sons, Ben (Jeanette) Brown, Jr of Jacksonville, NC, Andrew (Donna) Brown of Kearneysville, WV, James (Lisa) Brown of Columbia, SC, and Joseph (Gwendolyn) Brown of Allendale, SC; twenty one grandchildren; forty five great grandchildren; one goddaughter, Carolyn Barker of Allendale, SC; one godson, Christopher Priester of Allendale, SC; four brothers, Wilbur Eady of Allendale, SC, Ulysses (Laura) Eady of Barnwell, SC, Robert Lee (Carolyn) Eady of Walterboro, SC, and Mack Eady of Miami, FL; three sisters, Pauline Eady Deloach, Louise E. (Henry) Patterson, and Linda Eady (Luther Carter) all of Allendale, SC; two sisters in law, Annie Mae Broomfield of Fort Lauderdale, FL, and Gwen (Frank) Brown of Miami, FL; one brother in law, James Devoe Sr. of Allendale, SC, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and sympathizing friends.
