Solomon Hamilton, aka “Possum” age 51, of Barnwell, SC, was born on November 09, 1963 in Barnwell, South Carolina to Mary Lee Hamilton and the late Norman Patterson, Sr.  Our Heavenly Father called him home on Friday, May 1, 2015 at the Georgia Regents Medical Center in Augusta, GA.

At an early age, he sought God’s direction and guidance, and joined the Union United Methodist Church in Kline, South Carolina.

He graduated from the Barnwell High School in Barnwell, South Carolina, and worked in construction for Gain’s Construction Company, and in farming for Emmett Black. 

“Possum”, as he was affectionately called by his family and friends, will be best remembered for the love he had for his family, and friends.

Maternal grandparents, Henry and Jessie Hamilton, one brother, Andrew Hamilton, three aunts, Jessie Myers, Elouise Hankerson, and Mattie Hamilton, and five uncles, Eugene Hamilton, Henry Hamilton, Homy Hamilton, Joseph Hamilton, and Larry Hamilton preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memory, son, Cordarrio Bryant, Barnwell, SC; two grandchildren, Ra’Naryah and Rah’Kahrii Bryant, Barnwell, SC; mother, Mary Lee Hamilton of Macon, GA; five sisters, Mary Jean Hamilton, San Bernardino, CA, Angela Thomas, and Celegra Chatfield, Macon, GA, Tanya Chatfield Panama City, FL, and Nicole Patterson, Barnwell, SC; two brothers, Mark Chatfield, Macon, GA, and Norman Patterson, Jr., Walterboro, SC; three aunts, Verna Moore, Fort Lauderdale, FL, Imer (Eddie) Cornileus, Canton, GA, and Janie Jennings, Jacksonville, FL; two uncles, Tommie (Jeanette) Hamilton, Barnwell, SC, and James (Lillian) Myers, Blackville, SC; special friend, Sylvia Brown, Barnwell, SC, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and sympathizing friends.

To the family you have our deepest sympathy and Wade & I felt close to him because he and were very good friends and live life to fullest. Solomon was a person that would always make you laugh about something and make you day brighter. God knew his heart and I know he is resting!
