Tyrone Cave, aka, “Rome” age 46, was born July 16, 1969 in Barnwell, South Carolina to Gladys M. Cave, and Ernest Edward Odom.
At an early age, he sought God’s direction and guidance, and joined the St. John Baptist Church in Barnwell, South Carolina, where he was baptized.
He graduated from Barnwell High School in 1987, and later furthered his education at Denmark Tech, and USC Salk in Allendale, SC.
“Rome”, as he was affectionately called by his family and friends, will be best remembered for the love he had for his family, friends, and the Dallas Cowboys.
Tyrone entered into eternal rest on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at the Southern Palmetto Hospital in Barnwell, SC.
One sister, Lorraine Cave; maternal grandparents, James and Julia Cave; paternal grandfather, Murray Creech; two aunts, Julia Ann Patterson, and Leverta Dixon; and two uncles, David, and Hammie Creech, precede him in death.
Tyrone leaves to cherish his memory, four sons, Khiry Cave, Tyrone D. Cave, and Da’Marrius Cave all of Barnwell, SC, and Ra’Ajon Funches of Denmark, SC; two daughters, Tylesha Cave of Philadelphia, PA, and Tierra Funches of Denmark, SC; four grandchildren, a loving and devoted mother, Gladys M. Cave of Barnwell, SC; father, Ernest Edward Odom of Barnwell, SC; six sisters, Laceshia (Mantamorray) Clark, Alisha Buxton, and Sonya Walker all of Barnwell, SC, Tarsha Cave of Columbia, SC, Ernestine (Minister John) Drayton of Aiken, SC, and Latoya Buxton of Williston, SC; three brothers, Preston (Queen) Odom of Allendale, SC, Dewayne (Gloria) Cave of Jacksonville, FL, and Ernest Cave of Winnsboro, SC; paternal grandparent, Ronetta Odom of Barnwell, SC; fifteen aunts; eight uncles; one special friend, Sharon R. Hosey of Fairfax, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and sympathizing friends.
