Mr. Willie Lee Hartzog, Jr., age 64 was born in Allendale, SC on June 30, 1951 to the late Willie Hartzog, Sr., and the late Edith Adams Hartzog.

At an early age, he sought God’s direction and guidance, and joined the Saint John Baptist Church in Boiling Springs, SC where he served as Minister of Music.

Willie received his education at the CV Bing School in Allendale, SC. He worked as a Truck Driver/Machine Operator for many years.

"Hartson” as he was affectionately known was a loving and kind person, and will be remembered for his singing, and the love he had for his family and friends.

He was married to his loving wife, Pauline Hartzog for 29 years before the Lord called her home.

Besides his wife, parents, and grandparents, he is preceded in death by one son, Kevin Hartzog.

On Friday, March 25, 2016, our Heavenly Father called him from labor to reward at the Aiken Regional Medical Center in Aiken, SC.

Willie leaves to cherish his memory, six daughters, Laverna H. Boles of Columbia, SC, Mary Ann Kelly of Allendale, SC, Gwenetta Hartzog of St. George, SC, Nancy L. Frazier of Williamsburg, VA, Regina H. Hicks of Barnwell, SC, and Latisha M. Hartzog of Aiken, SC; two sons, Stacey B. Hartzog of Barnwell, SC, and Clifford (Tontalane) Hartzog of Ladson, SC; thirty grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; one brother, Larry (Jackie) Hartzog of Allendale, SC,  four sisters, Sharon Bella Davis, and Carrie (Andra) Brown of Barnwell, SC,  and Gwendolyn (Joseph) Brown, and Mary Francis Outing of Allendale, SC;  six sisters in law, Janie Mae (Joe Lee) Walker, and Willie Ruth Washington of Barnwell, SC, Hermena (George) Creech of Kline, SC, Katherine Rivers and Josephine (Thomas) Patterson of Ulmer, SC, and Arlene (Pete) Walker-Knight of Philadelphia, PA;  two brothers in law, Willie Walker, and Rodney (Dwydella) Walker of Barnwell, SC; one aunt; one uncle; one special adopted niece of the home, Yvette O’Neal of Barnwell, SC; special and devoted friend, Juliette Washington of Barnwell, SC, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and sympathizing friends.

FAMILY, I AM SO SORRY FOR THE LOSS OF JR. I WILL TRULY MISS HIM. I WILL MISS THAT GENUINE GREETING EVERY TIME WE WOULD MEET, "HEY CUZ". WE JUST SAT OUTSIDE A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO AT A FRIEND'S HOME, REMINICING ABOUT MY CHILDHOOD YEARS AND MY PARENTS. MAY YOU FIND STRENGTH AND PEACE IN THE PRECIOUS NAME OF THE HOLY GHOST.
