Mr. Ben C. Priester, aka “Jr.” age 57, of Petersburg, VA, formerly of Allendale, SC, was born on September 20, 1958 in Sycamore, South Carolina to the late Ben Priester, Sr., and the late Dorothy Dickson Priester.

At an early age, he sought God’s direction and guidance, and joined the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Ulmer, SC.

He received his education in the public schools of Allendale, South Carolina, and worked at Dixie Narco in Williston, SC until his health began to fail.

“Jr”, known as Ben Cal to most was a very generous, kind-hearted, funny, outspoken family man.  He loved to hang out with family and friends and just have a good time.

He was married to Adeline Davis Priester for 31 years, and in this union they were blessed with two daughters.

One son, Travarious Davis, one brother, Samuel Lee Priester, and one nephew, Lenwood Lashaun Carter preceded him in death.

Our Heavenly Father called him home on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at his home in Petersburg, VA.

“Jr” as he was known, leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Adeline D. Priester of Petersburg, VA; two daughters, Laterrica Priester and Shawnetra Priester of Petersburg, VA; one son, Roosevelt (Nikki) Davis of Durham, NC; seven grandchildren, three of which were reared in the home, Marquel Johnson, Harmoni Johnson-Priester, and Avarionna Priester of Petersburg, VA; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Alfair Priester of Fairfax, SC;  three sisters, Willie Lou (Lenwood) Carter, and Viester Priester of Fairfax, SC, and Hattie (Alexander) Smith of Trenton, NJ; sister in law, Catherine (Ricky) Tinsley of Fairfax, SC; brother in law, Jerome (Gail) Mole of Estill, SC; three aunts, Minnie Mae Priester of Allendale, SC,  Lillie Mitchell, and Ruthie McMillan of Fairfax, SC; three uncles, Harry (Emma) Dickson of Barnwell, SC, Ernest (Gloria) Priester of Milledgeville, GA, and Alvin (Sandra) Priester of Jacksonville, FL; grandaunt, Mary Jane of Jacksonville, FL; two devoted nieces, Melanie and Jordan Carter of Fairfax, SC; devoted nephew, Stephen Carter of Fairfax, SC; four devoted friends, James Henderson, Monsell Johnson, Marcus Balthrop, and John Henry Mew and a host  of loving relatives and friends.
