Sister Margaret B. Brown, age 77, of Barnwell, SC was born on October 19, 1938 in Allendale County, SC to the late Benjamin Franklin Brooker, Sr. and the late Odessa Deloach Brooker.

At an early age, she joined the New Hope United Methodist Church in Seigling, SC, where she sang in the Senior Choir.

Margaret graduated from the public school system of Allendale, SC. She was a hardworking woman and took great pride in her work.  She worked for the US Postal Service for 20yrs.

Aunt “Mart”, as her nieces and nephews affectionately called her, will be remembered for the love she had for her family and friends.

She was married to the love of her life, the late Isaiah Brown for 12 years before the Lord called him home.

Three sisters, Ms. Blondell Brooker, Ms. Thernell Dukes, and Ms. Iola Brooker, and two brothers, Mr. Olden Brooker and Deacon Benjamin Franklin Brooker, Jr., preceded her in death.

Our Heavenly Father called her from labor to reward on June 24, 2016 at the Heartland Manor Nursing Home in Columbia, SC.

She leaves to cherish her memory, one son, Christopher (Sherry) Brown of Columbia, SC; three grandchildren; one great grandchild; two sisters, Dorothy Owens of Barnwell, SC, and Perry Lee (Rev. Dr. Herman L) Wallace of Blackville, South Carolina; one adopted sister, Vicie (Roosevelt) Goode of Martin, SC; six sisters in law; three brothers in law, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and sympathizing friends.

To The Brooker And Brown Families,

Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keeps what I say, he shall never see death. John 8:51.

May we all keep what God says, so that we will never see death; and we will pass from our earthly life, into eternal life with God.

Margaret's presence will be missed by many; but for those of us who will keep what God says, we will be with her in eternity.

With loving sympathy,

The Carter Family

I would look forward to our daily phone calls knowing that you were going to say something silly to make me laugh. Even though I called you momma, I felt as if you were one of my closest friends as well. There was nothing we couldn't talk about, laugh about, or even cry together about. The thought of not being able to call or come visit you hurts but I'm thankful that our paths crossed and for the beautiful friendship that resulted that no one else could understand or destroy! There are so many things that I could say about you and the friendship that we shared but the most important thing of them all is that I will truly miss you!
