Mrs. Wilmyrtle Johnson Williams, age 75, of Pompano Beach Florida was born in Dunbarton South Carolina on September 16, 1941. She was the daughter of the late Reverend Richard Johnson, Sr., and Mrs. Pinkie Smith Johnson, and the wife of the late John Henry Williams.
Early in life she began her Christian journey and was Baptized at the Thankful Baptist Church in Martin South Carolina. After relocating to Florida, she united with the Spirit of Life in Christ Missionary Baptist Church of Pompano Beach Florida.
She was a 1961 graduate of Butler High School in Barnwell South Carolina. She retired after 35 years of service from Broward County School District as a Para Professional with West Chester Elementary School of Coral Springs Florida.
On Saturday November 12, 2016 in the quietness of her home she entered into eternal rest.
She leaves to cherish her memory one son, Elton Fitzgerald (Claudette) Williams of Lauderhill Florida; one daughter, Areta Leatrice (Keemer) Ford of Pompano Beach Florida; Six grandchildren, Eboni Williams and Jessyka Johnson both of Pompano Beach Florida, Debrent Johnson, Ft. Lauderdale Florida, Chikita Washington, Jovanne Williams, and Dovanne Williams all of Lauderhill Florida; Three sisters, Berter Mae Ingram of Ft. Lauderdale Florida, Edna R. (Furman) Clifton, Columbia South Carolina and Mary Hamin of Gaston South Carolina. Three brothers, Richard Johnson, Jr. Aiken South Carolina, Brooker T. (Diane) Johnson, and Wendell Johnson both of Martin South Carolina, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and sympathizing friends.
