Mrs. Willie Mae Williams, aka “Poochie Gal” age 67 of Allendale, SC was born on December 10, 1949, to the late Willie Davis Elmore and the late Frances Hoover.
Seeking God’s direction and guidance she joined True Vine Deliverance Church in Allendale, SC, where she served on the Mothers Board, and Champion Women for Christ.
Willie Mae received her education at CV Bing School in Allendale, SC.
“Poochie Gal” as she was affectionately known, was a loving and kind person and will be remembered for the love she had for her family, and friends.
She was married to Jim Williams for 52 yrs.
Besides her parents and grandparents, she is preceded in death by one son in law, Kenneth Roberts, three brothers, Bobby Gadsden, Ernest Hoover, and Ronald Hoover, and one sister, Mary Frances Campfield.
Our Heavenly Father saw fit to call her from labor to reward on January 24, 2017, at the Allendale County Hospital in Fairfax, SC.
She leaves to cherish her beautiful memory a loving and devoted husband, Jim Williams of Allendale, SC; three sons: Anthony (Vivian) Hoover, and Quillie (Gwen) Ferguson of Allendale, SC, and Jim Williams, Jr. of Newark, NJ; five daughters, Diane Hoover, Elaine Hoover, Daisy L. Roberts and Judy Jordan all of Allendale, SC, and Clara A. (Gary) Shanklin of Newark, NJ; twenty eight grandchildren; forty four great-grandchildren, one reared in the home, Amonni Williams of Allendale, SC; three brothers, Roger Hoover, Leon (Shada) Elmore, and Willie (Evelyn) Durant all of Newark, NJ; two sisters, Linda Hoover of Newark, NJ, and Ethel Devoe of Allendale, SC; five sisters in law; three aunts, Mamie Holiday of Irvington, NJ, Francine Hoover of Allendale, SC, and Jeanette Hoover of Orlando, FL; one great aunt, Susan Henderson of Springfield, MA; one special friend, Liza James of Allendale, SC, and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, other relatives, and sympathizing friends.
