Deacon James Monroe Dixs, age 78 was born in Ellenton, SC on April 2, 1938 to the late William Dicks and the late Ora Bell Williamson Dicks.

At an early age, he sought God’s direction and guidance, and joined the Union Missionary Baptist Church in Barnwell, SC, where he served on the Deacon Board.  He loved to sing, and sang faithfully with “The Chosen Ones”, until his health began to fail.

James received his education at the CV Bing School in Allendale, SC. He worked at Milliken Textile in Barnwell, SC as a Winder for many years before retiring.

"James” was a loving and kind person, and will be remembered for the love he had for his family, and friends.

He was married to his loving wife, Willie Mae Robinson Dixs for 55 years.

Besides his parents, and grandparents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Ralph Dicks, and one sister, Annie Dicks.

On Saturday, April 16, 2016, our Heavenly Father called him from labor to reward at his home in Allendale, SC.

Fields of Hoschton, GA, one special grandchild, Samuel Rose Drayton of Barnwell, SC; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; four godchildren; two sisters, Mattie L. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths. May God continue to order our step as we continue on this journey so that one day we too can go home to live with the Lord as James has.

May God Continue to keep us as a Family in His Care. Much Love, Family.
