James Harley, Jr.

Mr. James Harley, Jr., affectionately known as “Nip,” age 56, slipped peacefully into eternal rest on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at MUSC Health Providence Medical Center in Columbia, South Carolina. Though his earthly journey has ended, we rejoice in knowing his spirit is now at home with the Lord, where joy has no end, and pain is no more.

The visitation will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Dyches Funeral Home, 11372 Ellenton Street, Barnwell, SC, from 3–5 PM. Family and friends are invited to come, share memories, and surround one another with love and strength.

A Celebration of Life will take place at 2:00 PM on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, 3572 Dexter Street, Blackville, SC. Following the service, Mr. Harley will be laid to rest at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, 832 Mount Zion Road, Blackville, SC. May these sacred moments remind us that God is near to the brokenhearted and faithful to comfort His people.
