Mrs. Mattie L. Sumpter, age 97, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, in Lansing, Michigan.

A Visitation is scheduled for Friday, September 4, 2026, at Jordan Baptist Church, 2141 Jordan Rd, State Rd S-6-520, Barnwell, SC 29812, from 6 - 8 PM.

A celebration of life is scheduled for 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Jordan Baptist Church. The burial will follow in the adjacent church cemetery.
